Grand Prairie, Alta. - A past winner of a Hardware Merchandising Outstanding Retailer Award was in the spotlight again recently for doing what they do best.
Woodland TIM-BR MART of Grand Prairie, Alta., was named Outstanding Supplier in recognition of its service to the Peace River region's construction industry. The award was presented at a gala awards reception held last week by the Grand Prairie chapter of the Canadian Home Builders Association.
Woodland TIM-BR MART was founded by owner Henry Hamm in 1988 as a single 17,000-sq.-ft. location in Grand Prairie, a city of some 50,000 residents in northwestern Alberta. In 2004, Hamm opened a second 10,000-sq.-ft. store in the town of Fairview, Alta., then added a third 10,000-sq.-ft. location just across the B.C. border in the town of Fort St. John in 2007.
Of course, winning awards for providing excellent customer service is nothing new for Woodland TIM-BR MART. Back in 2007, the dealership was named Outstanding Building Supply/Home Centre by Hardware Merchandising as part of the magazine's annual Outstanding Retailer Awards program. Founded in 1992, the Outstanding Retailer Awards is the leading third-party awards program dedicated to recognizing excellence in the Canadian hardware/home improvement retailing industry.
